PRIVACY

Privacy Policy

Draft dated October 15, 2026.

What this policy covers

This policy describes how information is handled when you use this website and send an inquiry through it.

Work performed for an author under a signed client agreement is also governed by that agreement.

Who this policy is from

This policy is published by RFP Publishing LLC, the author-development and publishing-services practice described on this website. Its business address has not been confirmed for publication and is listed for review below.

Information collected through the inquiry form

The project inquiry form asks for your name, email address, type of writing, genre, approximate word count, project stage, the service or tier you are interested in, what you are hoping to accomplish, what feels like your biggest obstacle, your preferred contact method, a phone number if you choose phone as your contact method, your desired timeline, and any additional project notes.

Your name, your email address, and a description of what you are hoping to accomplish are required. Everything else is optional.

The form does not accept manuscript uploads. There is no attachment field and no way to submit a manuscript, sample pages, or other documents through this website.

A manuscript file submitted through the site’s earlier upload feature

An earlier version of this website offered an upload field. One manuscript submitted through it was stored in publicly readable storage, which means that anyone holding the file’s address could open it while it remained there. Removal of that file from storage has been requested and had not been confirmed when this draft was prepared, so it should be treated as having been publicly exposed.

If you submitted a manuscript through that earlier upload field and want to ask about it, use the contact method described in this policy. The file’s address, the author’s identity, and the manuscript’s contents are not published here.

How the information is used

Information submitted through the inquiry form is used to:

  • Review the inquiry and assess whether the project is a good fit for the services offered.
  • Prepare and discuss a possible service proposal or itemized quote.
  • Communicate with you about the project you described.
  • Keep administrative records of inquiries and the conversations that follow.
  • Prevent spam, abuse, and unauthorized access to the site and its records.
  • Meet applicable recordkeeping and legal obligations.

How the information is not used

Inquiry information is not sold, rented, or shared for advertising purposes, and it is not used to claim any ownership of your work. There is no newsletter, promotional email list, or marketing automation on this site, so inquiry information is not used for promotional email.

Who can access it

Inquiry records are stored in the site’s database. Access rules on that data restrict reading to the site’s administrator account, and only the administrator reviews inquiries.

The website, its database, and the email notifications described below are provided through the Base44 platform, which serves as the hosting, storage, and email-delivery provider for this site. Aside from that platform’s own infrastructure and delivery vendors, no other service provider receives inquiry information. The identity of any underlying email-delivery vendor has not been confirmed and is listed for review below.

Reasonable measures are taken to protect stored information, and its transmission is encrypted in transit. That said, no method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and no absolute security guarantee is made here.

RFP Publishing may share relevant client manuscripts, project materials, and necessary contact or project information with independent contractors who assist in providing contracted services. Such access is limited to the information reasonably necessary for their assigned responsibilities and is subject to appropriate confidentiality obligations.

Email notifications and acknowledgments

Two emails may be sent when you submit an inquiry: an acknowledgment to the address you provided, and a notification to the administrator so the inquiry can be answered.

Email is used only for those messages and for continuing a conversation you started, such as replying to your inquiry.

Confidentiality of manuscripts and projects

RFP will not publicly identify a client’s manuscript, project, or relationship with RFP for promotional purposes without the client’s written permission. Client work is not publicly credited or described without that permission.

Confidential materials and generative AI tools

Before submitting nonpublic client manuscripts or other confidential project materials to a third-party generative AI service, RFP Publishing obtains the client’s informed written consent identifying the provider, intended purpose, and categories of materials involved.

Consent is documented in the applicable signed project agreement or a separate written authorization and retained with the client’s project records.

If the proposed AI provider, intended use, or categories of confidential materials change materially, renewed written authorization is required before proceeding.

RFP Publishing honors a client’s decision not to authorize a proposed use of generative AI.

Permission does not remove the risks of using a third-party service. Any submission that is permitted remains subject to that provider’s own terms and data-handling practices.

Retention

Information submitted through an inquiry that does not result in a client engagement is ordinarily retained for up to 12 months after the last substantive interaction. RFP Publishing periodically reviews these records and deletes or anonymizes information that is no longer needed, subject to reasonable exceptions for legal obligations, security, dispute resolution, or other legitimate business purposes.

That 12-month rule covers inquiries that do not become client projects. Client project files and business records are retained on the separate terms described below.

Client manuscripts, editorial working documents, cover-design working files, formatting files, and other project materials are retained as reasonably necessary while an engagement is active.

After a project is completed, RFP Publishing ordinarily retains its working copies of these materials for up to 12 months from the project completion date. Following that period, working copies are reviewed for deletion, subject to applicable legal obligations, unresolved disputes, specifically agreed retention arrangements, or other legitimate business needs.

Final deliverables are provided to the author as specified in the applicable service agreement. Authors are responsible for maintaining their own copies and backups of delivered files. RFP Publishing does not provide permanent manuscript storage or archival services unless separately agreed in writing.

Signed service agreements, invoices, payment records, and other business or accounting records may be retained for longer periods as reasonably necessary to comply with applicable legal, tax, accounting, and recordkeeping obligations.

A request to delete an inquiry will be honored unless a legal obligation, a security need, or an open dispute requires the record to be kept.

Cookies, analytics, and tracking

RFP Publishing uses Base44’s built-in website analytics to understand how visitors find and use this website.

These analytics collect information such as pages visited, referral sources, session duration, device and operating-system information, and visitor or session identifiers.

RFP Publishing does not currently use independently installed advertising pixels or third-party analytics scripts.

Session recording is disabled. RFP Publishing does not currently use Base44’s session-recording feature to record visitor interactions.

Base44 may process additional technical information as part of providing its hosting, analytics, authentication, and security services. The precise handling of IP addresses and the generation of analytics identifiers remain subject to confirmation with the platform provider.

Visitors do not create accounts here. Administrators sign in to manage the site. That sign-in uses the hosting platform’s authentication, which may set a session cookie so an administrator remains signed in.

Requests concerning your information

You may ask what information is held about you, ask for a correction, or ask for your inquiry to be deleted. Send the request through the consultation form on this website and say in the message that it is a privacy request.

Requests are handled subject to applicable law and to legitimate retention obligations, including records that must be kept for legal, security, or dispute-related reasons.

Effective date and changes

This draft was prepared on October 15, 2026 and is awaiting owner approval. The effective date will be set when it is approved.

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page.

Draft — pending owner review

This page is a working draft written from how the site actually behaves. It is not final until the items below are resolved and the owner explicitly approves publication. An internal version of this list is kept in the site administration area.

  • — The legal name and form of the business have been confirmed as RFP Publishing LLC, a single-member LLC registered in South Dakota. Its business address has not been confirmed and must be stated here before this page is final.
  • — A business email address (michael@michaeljedmond.com) has been published for privacy requests. A dedicated postal address and phone number have not been published and remain open.
  • — The owner has selected a 12-month standard for completed client working files. Legally required retention periods for contracts and financial records, the actual operational procedures for periodic review and deletion, and third-party storage, backup, and deletion limitations remain open.
  • — The original manuscript file that remains on public storage must be deleted, and its deletion independently verified, before this policy is described as final.
  • — Analytics and tracking — confirmed: Base44 built-in website analytics is enabled (collecting pages visited, referral sources, session duration, device and operating-system information, and visitor or session identifiers); session recording is disabled; and the application contains no advertising pixels or independently installed third-party analytics scripts. Still requiring verification: whether Base44 collects raw IP addresses; how visitor and session identifiers are generated; whether additional platform-managed cookies or similar technologies are used; and whether any legally required visitor notice or consent mechanism applies.
  • — Confirm whether the platform’s underlying email-delivery vendor should be named explicitly, and whether data is stored or processed in a particular region.
  • — The owner has established a project-specific written-authorization requirement for generative AI use, identifying the AI provider, intended purpose, and categories of confidential materials, with renewed written authorization required for material changes, consent records retained with project documentation, and a client’s refusal respected. Selection of actual AI providers, verification of provider data-handling, retention, and training policies, creation of an operational consent template or project-agreement clause, and legal review of the consent language remain open.
  • — Whether state-specific privacy-rights language is required needs legal review.
  • — The effective date remains pending approval.
